What it pays for
Monthly stipend JPY 48,000 for graduate students (master's/doctoral/research students) and JPY 30,000 for Japanese language institution students. Paid for up to 12 months (April–March) or 6 months (October–March).

Application window
Applied for after enrolment through the host university in line with the university term.
For Bangladeshi applicants: Eligibility requires average monthly remittance excluding entrance and tuition fees to be less than JPY 90,000.
